Finding Bigfoot went to a whole new level for its two- hour season premiere. Matt, Cliff, Renee and Bobo joined forces with a paranormal investigation group in Mount Shasta, California, in order to track down this elusive creature. The season started out on a new night as well, on Thursday, March 31, 2016, and it seems like the strangest episode in the history of this series so far. The BFRO team is tackling the theory, that Bigfoot may not be a flesh and blood entity, but a supernatural one!
In this premiere, they also discuss the possibility that Bigfoots may have been genetically engineered and brought here by extraterrestrial aliens. I have never heard such outlandish claims before on Animal Planet, so this episode was truly ground breaking. However, I have heard similar ideas of the extraterrestrial kind on other programs, airing on networks like History Channel and Destination America. It seems that Animal Planet is now heading into unchartered territory with these theories!
But back to this landmark episode: Bobo was temporarily traded to the Supernatural Bigfoot Group, where he made a telepathic connection with Bigfoot, as that other team performed an ancient ritual in a cave. It was an eye-opening experience for Bobo, as he saw things and communicated with Bigfoot, in his psychic journey. Also, an unexplainable light was also caught on camera, deep in the woods, in the middle of the night. And a strange being was observed through the thermal cam. It was eventually determined to be a mountain lion with a long tail.
I enjoyed this episode. I appreciate how the Animal Planet is now considering other, alternative explanations for this mythical beast. I also like how the BFRO team was not dismissive, but actually open-minded to even considering the paranormal possibilities. Let’s face it; the BFRO has no right calling the other paranormal investigation group insane, when the BFRO itself is a bit crazy, on some level. They haven’t found Sasquatch yet, but they are now exploring every possible avenue available, like the supernatural. And hopefully, it brings the team good luck and success in their goals!
